MAZZOLI: Album Recording Session DAY 1
Last Tuesday (17th of December), we got together at the Kenneth Myer Centre to record for an upcoming album.
In the studio was the Mazzoli Trio (Myself, Julie Park and Sally Kim), guest violinist James Xin Jin, Steve Garden from Rattle, John Kim from the University of Auckland faculty, and Kenneth Young from the New Zealand School of Music Wellington.
It has been almost 2 years in the making from the moment I started this project with Missy Mazzoli. It has not been an easy job starting the project from nothing, but I am blessed to have the support of the composer her self, wonderful people from chamber music new zealand, creative new zealand, rattle records, donors of Missy Mazzoli, and everyone who has taken interest in this project through our concerts.
A huge thanks for everyone involved in this project!
