Just a few days ago i met Muneyuki Nakazawa - the violin maker who created the Tsunami Violin in Tokyo Japan. We talked about the Tsunami Violin, what it means to him and his thoughts towards the project. Before i left the building he asked me to write a short message and my autograph onto a wooden book made of the same wood used for the Tsunami Violin. The book consisted of messages and autographs of all of the past violinists who performed on the Tsunami Violin - including many internationally acclaimed musicians. It has been a pleasure and a great honour for me to have been able to perform on this violin. It is such a meaningful instrument and i hope for even more people around the globe to perform on this instrument, pass on the history, and to connect people with music.
