Recently, I had a fantastic opportunity to perform as a String Quartet in concert with my former teacher - Elena Abramova, her husband Greg McGarity and former Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra Principle Cellist Eliah Sakakushev-von Bismarc.
After two and half rehearsals - We put together a 2 hour programme featuring quite energetic music, most of them quite well known. It also gave me an opportunity to learn the full Borodin String Quartet No.2 and movements from Vivaldi's Summer and Spring which i had never played before.
Performing with these accomplished musicians was lots of fun and i felt that both - the players and the audience much enjoyed the time at the concert.
It felt difficult at first preparing for this concert on top of the string trio tour & japan tour coming up but it was definitely well worth the time! Thank you very much to our host, audiences and ofcourse Elena, Greg and Eliah!
